BCBSIL members will no longer be required to wait one year before applying for upgrades or to secure new business rates.

This will apply to applications received on November 1, 2012 or later as well as effective dates beginning November 1, 2012 or later. A policy no longer has to be in force for a minimum of 12 months to be eligible for an upgrade or new rate consideration. If a member receives a rate increase on their current policy, they may apply for the same plan to get lower rates.
