BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois will only accept applications for new non-temporary short term polices through the end of the day on Friday, August 30th for a 2013 effective date. The last available effective date for any new non medicare individual and family health insurance applications submitted will be September 28, 2013.

If you would like to apply for a BCBSIL individual or family plan, it MUST be submitted before August 30th, 2013 or you will not be allowed to apply for BCBSIL health insurance until the Health Insurance Exchange is open.
