Cigna Plus plans are no longer offered
Cigna Plus and Cigna Plus with Northwestern Medicine plans have not been sold in Illinois since the 2024 plan year. They were not offered for 2025 or 2026, and you cannot enroll in them.
On April 30, 2026, Cigna announced it will stop offering individual and family ACA plans as of January 1, 2027. This affects all 11 states where Cigna sells individual coverage, including Illinois.
Existing Cigna coverage stays in force through December 31, 2026. If you have a Cigna individual plan, you will need to pick a different carrier for 2027, so plan to choose a new plan during Open Enrollment to avoid a gap on January 1.
