HealthSpring is the new brand for the Medicare business Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), the Blue Cross Blue Shield company, acquired from Cigna in March 2025. Cigna’s Medicare Advantage plans began carrying the HealthSpring name in mid-2025; Cigna’s Medicare Supplement and Supplemental Health & Life plans followed in September 2026. If you previously looked at "Cigna Medicare" plans, this is the same coverage, now under HCSC ownership and the HealthSpring name.
